1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using CS Learning Portal ("the site", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site.
These terms apply whether or not you have an account, and whether you're reading a tutorial, running code, or using a developer tool.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site (16 in regions where that's the minimum age for consenting to online services). If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
- You may browse most of the site without an account. An account is needed to save progress, earn XP, submit solutions to the judge and use your dashboard.
- Give accurate information when you register, and keep it current.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person, one account. Don't share credentials, and don't create accounts to evade a suspension.
- Don't impersonate anyone, or pick a display name that's offensive, misleading or infringes someone's rights.
- You may delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
4. Acceptable use
Use the site for learning and practice. You agree not to:
- Break any applicable law, or use the site to help anyone else do so.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, database or part of the site not intended for you.
- Probe, scan, overload or disrupt the site or its infrastructure, including denial-of-service attempts and unreasonable automated request volumes.
- Scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy content, or use automated tools to harvest tutorials, problems, solutions or cheatsheets.
- Republish our content as your own, or resell access to it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to derive the source of the site beyond what applicable law permits.
- Upload or submit malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, defamatory or sexually explicit.
- Interfere with another user's use of the site, or manipulate XP, streaks, rankings or verdicts by any means other than genuinely solving the material.
5. Code editor and judge
The online editor and automated judge run your code in a sandboxed environment with fixed time, memory and network restrictions. In addition to section 4, you specifically agree not to use them to:
- Escape, disable or probe the sandbox, or attempt privilege escalation on the execution host.
- Mine cryptocurrency, run proxies or relays, host services, or perform any workload unrelated to learning and solving problems on the site.
- Attack, scan or send unsolicited traffic to any third party.
- Store or process personal data belonging to other people.
- Deliberately run code designed to exhaust resources or degrade the service for others.
6. Content you submit
"Your content" means anything you submit — code, quiz answers, profile details, messages to us, and any feedback.
- You keep ownership. We claim no ownership of the code you write.
- You grant us a licence. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and process your content solely to operate and improve the site — for example running your code, grading it, and showing your own submissions back to you.
- You confirm you have the right to submit it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Feedback is free to use. If you send us suggestions, we may act on them without obligation or compensation.
- We may remove content that breaches these terms, and may retain records of submissions as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Our content and intellectual property
The tutorials, articles, problem statements, quizzes, cheatsheets, illustrations, logos, layout and code of the site are owned by CS Learning Portal or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
What you may do:
- Read, learn from and take personal notes on anything published here.
- Use code snippets from tutorials in your own projects, including commercial ones, without attribution — snippets are provided as teaching examples.
- Link to any page, and quote short extracts with attribution and a link back.
What you may not do:
- Republish substantial portions of tutorials, articles, problem sets or cheatsheets on another site, in a course, or in a book, in any language, without written permission.
- Redistribute downloadable cheatsheets or ebooks, or place them behind a paywall.
- Use our name, logo or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email cslearningportal.edu@gmail.com identifying the work, the URL, and your contact details. We'll investigate and remove infringing material where appropriate.
8. Third-party links and tools
The site links to external documentation, repositories and resources, and relies on third-party services for authentication, hosting, media and code execution. We don't control those sites and services and aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
9. The ebook store and purchases
Alongside the free material, CS Learning Portal sells downloadable digital products — ebooks and PDF guides. Buying one is subject to these terms and to the policies linked from them.
- An account is required. You must be signed in to buy, so the purchase can be attached to your account and stay available to you afterwards.
- Accurate details. You agree to give accurate payment and contact information, and to use only a payment method you are authorised to use.
- Order acceptance. A product page is an invitation to buy, not a binding offer. A contract forms only when payment succeeds and we deliver the product to your account. We may decline or cancel an order where a product is listed in error, a price is obviously wrong, a payment is flagged as fraudulent, or the order breaches these terms — in which case any amount taken is refunded in full.
- One licence per account. Products are sold per account, and checkout prevents buying a title you already own.
10. Prices, payments and taxes
Prices are shown on each product page in the currency stated there and are payable in full at checkout. The amount charged is always calculated on our servers from the price stored against the product, including any discount from a valid coupon.
Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, our payment gateway. Your card, UPI, netbanking or wallet details are entered into Razorpay's secure checkout and handled by Razorpay under their own terms and privacy policy. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, bank credentials or any other payment secret. We keep only what identifies your order: the payment and order references, amount, currency, and the contact details you gave at checkout.
- Prices may change at any time. A change never affects an order already paid for.
- Where taxes apply, the price shown is inclusive unless the product page says otherwise.
- Coupons carry their own limits — a code may apply to one product only, be limited to one use per account, expire, or run out.
- Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion or foreign transaction charges outside our control.
11. Your licence to purchased ebooks
Buying an ebook buys a licence to use it, not ownership of the work. Subject to payment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download the file and use it for your own learning, on any device you personally use, for as long as your account exists.
You may not:
- Share, upload, resell, rent, sublicense or otherwise distribute the file or any part of it — including on file-sharing sites, messaging groups, cloud drives or torrent networks.
- Publish the contents publicly, in whole or in substantial part, in any language.
- Remove or alter any copyright notice, branding or identifier in the file.
- Use the material to build a competing product, course or paid resource, or to train a machine-learning model for redistribution.
12. Delivery, cancellation and refunds
Products are delivered electronically and immediately — there is no physical shipment. Full details are in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
Because delivery is instant and digital, purchases are not refundable once delivered, and an order cannot be cancelled after payment completes. We do refund payments taken without the product reaching you — including failed, duplicate or incorrectly charged transactions.
13. Advertising
The site is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. By using it you acknowledge that we may display third-party advertising on our pages, and that we run our own advertising campaigns on external platforms such as Google and Meta. How the associated data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
- Advertiser content isn't ours. Ads are supplied by third parties. We don't endorse advertised products or services, and we aren't responsible for them or for any dealing between you and an advertiser.
- Don't tamper with ad delivery. You agree not to click your own ads, encourage others to click, use bots or scripts to generate impressions or clicks, or otherwise interfere with or artificially inflate ad activity. Such behaviour can violate our advertising partners' policies and may lead to suspension.
- Ad blockers are your choice. You're free to use an ad blocker. You agree not to modify, inject into, or misrepresent the advertising or the site's pages in a way that defrauds advertising partners.
- Placement may change. The number, format and position of ads may change at any time as we balance funding the site against usability.
14. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site up but we don't promise uninterrupted availability. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed at any time, including tutorials, problems, tools and language support. Maintenance, outages and rate limits happen.
The site is currently provided free of charge and funded by advertising. If we introduce paid features in future, we'll publish separate terms covering pricing, billing and refunds before you're asked to pay anything.
15. Educational disclaimer
All material on CS Learning Portal is for education and practice. It is not professional advice and comes with no guarantee of outcome.
- Tutorials and interview material may contain errors, or become outdated as languages, frameworks and interview practices change.
- Completing courses, problems or interview prep does not guarantee an interview, a job offer, an exam result, or any particular level of skill.
- Code examples are illustrative. Review, test and secure any code before using it in production — you are responsible for what you ship.
- Developer tools on the site are convenience utilities. Verify their output before relying on it for anything important.
16. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided "as is" and"as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CS Learning Portal and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, opportunities or business, arising out of or connected with your use of the site — including lost code, an incorrect verdict, reliance on a tutorial, an advertised product, or downtime.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CS Learning Portal and its operators from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or content you submit.
19. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if we're required to by law, or if your use poses a risk to the site or other users. Serious abuse — sandbox escape attempts, attacks on the infrastructure, large-scale scraping, or advertising fraud — will result in an immediate ban.
You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 and 16 — continue to apply.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we'll post a notice on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
